They try to be friendly but the the actual service at the end of the day isn't really too good. During a recent stay I was promised that my Priority Club welcome gift would be delivered to my room. After waiting an hour or so, I called the front desk and they told me it was on the way. I left for dinnner and returned 4 hours later and still no bag of goodies! The front desk staff on both shifts that I talked too were "fake" friendly. I know they are told to be that way, but they are bad actors. Another issue was that the coffee had run out in the lobby and it took them 2 hours to replace! Again the front desk staff told me that they were working on it. How long does it take to replace box of liquid?

The HI is much nicer since the remodel, but of course it still suffers from that old Hotel atmosphere. The attitude of the employees has changed, but they still don't really care to much. I had a problem with the bathtub and it took 3 calls and 2 days to get it fixed! I asked for pillows and didn't get them until the 2nd call the next day. The high speed internet in my area did not work too well ;sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I would expect more with all the $$ they spent remodeling! I also suggest that they add a Priority Club floor as well so that Platinum Members such as myself can have an evening getaway every night.

I've stayed at several hotels at IAH airport and Holiday Inn Houston Intercontinential Airport is by far the best in the area. The hotel staff, accomodations, restaurant, new gym facility, outdoor ammenties can't be beat.

So I have been in this hotel for about 3 months now, I know alot about the hotel from being here so damn much. It's nice for travelers, I have met people from around the country and world from the comfort of my hotel bar. Every Tuesday is free beer night for priority club members, which is nice. The hotel restuarant looks real classy but it is affordable. I don't think I have ever walked around the corner without a hotel worker giving me a smile and a hows it going. They like to give away free things alot, infact, I just won *$ at the restuarant. The location is pretty good for Houston, right off the beltway. Anyways, you should stay here.

I stayed here in 2007 for a week, and am back now for another week. In the two years since my last stay the Hotel has had a complete overhaul. The renovations of the rooms has brought this hotel up to the standard of what a person thought of Holiday Inn establishments.
