What a great hotel! Great location, wonderful staff and rooms. Single parent with 3 young boys and the hotel couldnt have been more perfect for our stay. Breakfast was great, walking distance to any/all restaurants and amenities. I would recommend this hotel for families, getaways and even business travel.

Hotel was in a pretty good location, easy to walk to most places - cheaper than staying directly on Michigan Ave. The fire station is right next door and could be loud (the hotel offers complimentary ear plugs) but after the first night we didn't notice. The room was very nice and breakfast was good. The lobby was undergoing renovation, but it did not cause any problems. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was excellent. We got dinner from room service one night and it was great and a ton of food.

Stayed here Feb18-21st for 4 day "get-away" wknd with my husband . First time to Chicago. got to hotel early like 930am and our room wasnt ready but they were great with holding our bags and the bellman even told us to go upstairs and have complimentry brkfst(and we weren't even checked in yet). The staff was very nice and accomadating but the hotel needs a little updating. Beds/linens, plasma TV were very nice but rest of room was "old"-wallpaper peeling. Is a very noisy hotel. Could hear people out in halls talking, doors slamming...Lots of families stay here- I think because they have the complimentary brkfst..I have to admit that was worth the "inconvience" of the older hotel/noise. You do save a lot of $$ by eating brkst there. There is a firehouse right across the street that is busy if that would bother you-lights/sirens-all hours of night..Hotel is close to everything and in very safe neighborhood if that was is concern to you. If you are looking for quiet and more upscale hotel this is probably not a hotel for you...but if $$ is concern and you have kids it is perfect for the indoor pool, brkst. Again staff was very friendly and helpful...

Stayed in a King Suite with 2 teenagers and loved it, plenty of room, comfy bed, clean, kitchenette was fully equiped with a large fridge, microwave and even microwave popcorn in the room. Wonderful breakfast, swimming pool, gym and sauna were well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was a little worried when I saw the firehouse so close but with the windows shut and air conditioning on you couldnt even hear the fire engines so we didnt even need the ear plugs the front desk provided. Within walking distance to all sorts of restaraunts and shops. A couple blocks away is the House of Blues and Dicks last resort! We loved it, It was a wonderful stay!
